I’ve been a qualified linguist (DipTrans IoLET) and member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists since the mid 90s. I lived in France for twenty years and throughout my career I have also translated or “localised” a large and varied amount of copy from French into English. Before embarking on a career in interactive media I was an English teacher in France and Spain for over ten years. A few years ago I was able to bring my interactive creation and linguistic skills together to create a language learning course that was published by Nobilis and distributed by Warner Home Video. Further to teaching and translation experience I have also led teams of translators and managed the localisation process for a number of projects from web-based interactive games such as Roland Garros on-line to learning methods like Partouche Poker Tour. Experience and services include translating websites, print manuals, corporate films, video games, business and technical documents. Feel free to get in touch via my contact page if you would like me to give you a quote for your translation, transcreation, and localisation needs. |
